It’s a three-minute walk to the night market, and the customer service was good. The breakfast spread was decent. The soundproofing was poor, and I could hear people walking outside, so it’s not good for light sleepers. The sewerage was loud, too. There was mold in the toilet corners around the bathtub, sink, and shower, and the carpet felt moldy. I also found hair on the bed linens.

We had good parking, with a large space for a 9-seater van just a one-minute walk from the hotel. The area is great, only a three-minute walk to fengchia night market. Breakfast was good, too. If you’re traveling to Taichung, please try staying at La Vida Hotel.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, but the food was kind of cold at both breakfast and dinner. The made-to-order egg was the only hot item. The room was pretty small for three people, and we couldn't turn off the lights with something plugged into the socket.

The staff were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and able to speak English. Secure elevator access also gave me extra peace of mind. I used to manage a hotel myself, and I’d easily give this one five stars. The hotel has a quiet, beautiful garden, a gym, and complimentary tea time with games for kids. Breakfast had an exquisite variety, and there were no unwanted insects. The location is next to the college night market, with entertainment, food, and convenience stores nearby. My room was clean and came with full complimentary items. It was spacious, as was the bathroom, which had a hot tub, closet, bidet toilet (although in Japanese), and a bolted-down safe. This is the best hotel I've ever been to. I highly recommend it to fellow foreigners traveling to Taichung, Taiwan. Book early and enjoy. To hotel staff: Great work, keep it up. You've earned my trust.

Feng Jia night market was an easy walk away, and we went every night during our stay. It was really convenient for finding food. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast came with the room, and the spread was a pleasant surprise. We had an earthquake on our last night. The shaking woke my wife, but I slept right through it. The hotel is still standing strong 👍
