Lishan Guesthouse

The room felt more like cramped servant quarters than a proper place to stay. The tap wobbled, the toilet was even smaller than one on a cruise ship, and the front desk staff were very unfriendly. I won't stay here again.

The mountain view and pretty grounds were lovely, and the staff were kind enough to offer my boyfriend a ride to the clinic. Still, we left disappointed after looking forward to this guesthouse. He got severe food poisoning from the banquet dinner, and there were two or three bugs in the room. The rooms also felt dated and didn't block much noise. I wish our stay had gone better.

The staff made a strong impression on me, with their professionalism and the care they put into making guests feel welcome. The scenery was just as memorable, with a beautiful view from every angle, whether of mountains or a calm ocean. And the food was a highlight too. There was so much variety, from well-cooked steaks to delicious desserts. With all of that together, this place made for an amazing, unforgettable stay.

We had a clean, tidy room with a lovely view of the trees from the balcony, and could hear birds singing during the day. At check-in, the front desk staff were wonderful, showing us to our room and explaining what was around the area. I don't think many hotels or guesthouses nearby offer this same standard of quality. Places that do would probably charge a lot more.
