The location is Central Land Hotel’s biggest strength. It’s a short walk from Taichung Railway Station, handy for arrivals, departures, and day trips, with local restaurants, bubble tea shops, and everyday conveniences all around. Lalaport and Taroko Mall are close by, too, making it a useful base for shopping. The hotel has a boutique feel and an old school theme. Our quadruple room for a family of four, including two elementary school kids, was a tight squeeze. There wasn’t enough floor space to open and move around two large suitcases at once, and the tiny mini balcony didn’t have much use. On the plus side, the shower area was unexpectedly enormous and very comfortable after a long day walking and shopping. Breakfast was great, with a small but sufficient choice of local food. It’s a stylish place in a very convenient spot among transport, dining, and shopping. Just plan to manage your luggage space carefully.

The classic architecture and interiors give this hotel a timeless, elegant feel, and the rates are reasonable for its category. It’s about a five-minute walk from TRA Taichung Station, with good breakfast choices, attentive staff, and the basic facilities you need. Their service-minded attitude was clear, though English communication is limited. The rooms are narrow and quite small in some types, and there’s no heater in the air-conditioning system, so nights can feel cold in cooler weather. Check-in is also late compared with most hotels, since rooms are only available after 5:00 PM. It’s good value with character and solid service, though the room comfort and timing may not suit everyone, especially in colder seasons.

I came back after staying here in March 2024. The rooms aren’t large, but they’re tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Storage is limited, though that didn’t bother me for a two-night stay. The hotel is very conveniently located near Taichung main station, with plenty of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Staff are pleasant, and the price is very reasonable.

The room is small, but it’s designed well enough that it felt spacious. Staff were awesome, and the hotel is close to lots of places, including the train station. It has Old School Charm with a modern vibe. Breakfast didn’t have many choices, but the service was extraordinary and the food was adequate.

The lobby and reception have a nice feel, and the staff were friendly. My room was very clean, and the area around the hotel is convenient for transport, shops, and restaurants.
