Stay Hotel - Taichung Yizhong

The location worked well, with food stalls and a convenience store nearby, and breakfast had plenty of variety. The hotel is Moslem friendly, which makes it a good choice for my Moslem friends. I loved the decoration from the moment I arrived. Service was very good, and my room was spacious and clean, with working aircon and hot water. Recommended.

The location is the only thing I liked. For the price, you can find a better place, and I wouldn’t choose this hotel again. On the first morning, breakfast wasn’t a buffet, just a serving of salad, bacon, and bread. I was the only person in the dining area, so maybe there weren’t enough customers for a buffet. My original room had no window. When I asked to change the next morning, they said I couldn’t because I’d already “touch” the room. After some struggle, they moved me to a smaller room with a window. There’s only one lift for the 7th floor, so expect a long wait when it’s crowded.

The room was very spacious, and the shower and toilet were in separate rooms. Yichong night market is a 15 minute walk away, and a big mall is about 10 minutes away. But customer service was bad. I asked to borrow scissors and they insisted I bring my luggage down to the lobby. At breakfast, a staff member spoke LOUDLY to my mom when she politely asked where the fork and spoon were.

I had a comfortable stay with my friends. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the service was great. The staff were patient and willing to help with our needs, and the air conditioning was easy to use.
