Such a great host!!!!!!!

The overall stay was terrible. The owner was friendly, but the place was in poor condition and the water dispenser didn’t work. The price was cheap, but Tainan has plenty of other good places to stay. I booked in a rush after seeing the good reviews, and regretted it once I checked in. Noise came through constantly: I could hear slippers upstairs and cars outside all night, so I couldn’t sleep. The shower and toilet were shared, outside the room, and the area clearly hadn’t been cleaned regularly. I really wonder how the owner could let guests use it like that. Getting to the accommodation meant climbing a small staircase, and the stairs felt dangerous. The location was also rather remote, so think twice.

We found this B&B after visiting Taoyuan, and the price was very reasonable. Thanks so much for looking after us for four days and three nights. The owner was very friendly, and I’d love to visit again sometime. July 1st, 2025 - Day 1: A True Night of Horror at the B&B The experience was top-notch! They even had breakfast arranged for the next morning and gave me dinner suggestions, which was so thoughtful. I’d booked a single room, but the owner switched me to a double after hearing I was traveling around the island and wanted me to get a good rest. They patiently walked me through the guesthouse amenities, from the washing machine and tea to the toiletries. The owner was incredibly warm and kind. I was really touched. If you’re stopping in Tainan to eat your way around town during an island trip, I’d absolutely recommend [My Second Floor Guesthouse].
