28 The Loft

It's a lovely place and has everything you need. The noise is the one drawback: you can hear construction, cars, and people shouting late into the night.

The two-story place has really lovely interiors and feels very nice to stay in. I'd happily recommend it again and again.

The courtyard gave 28 Loft a lovely resort feel when I arrived in the evening, and booking the whole place for just six people meant we had private space without sharing with strangers. Inside, the furniture, appliances, bathroom fittings, and other little touches showed how much care the owner had put in. I especially liked having a urinal in the toilet, very handy for the guys! 🤣 I picked this place after keeping it saved on Airbnb for ages, even though I'm usually a hotel enthusiast. The industrial look, high ceilings, homey feel, easy parking, and convenient spot on Xiaobei Road all appealed to me. It was about a five-minute drive from Tainan Station, and Guohua Street and Chihkan Tower were roughly 5-10 minutes away by car. Xiluodian Beef Soup, which had recently made the Bib Gourmand list, was just a two-minute bike ride away, so we could get ahead of the queues. 😉 My stay was short, and my photography skills weren't good enough to capture the place properly. I'll definitely come back to Tainan and stay here again. The culture, local food, and warm welcome all make me want to return. I don't get much time off work 🥲, so the regret I feel now just makes me look forward to another visit.

It felt like a great place for a family trip, and I could easily have stayed longer. The B&B can fit up to six people, and the whole experience was fantastic. The four-person room had a soaking tub and dining table. In the two-person room, the second-floor balcony was cozy and a hit with adults and kids alike. There were thoughtful extras everywhere, including tableware, a steam iron, and two hair dryers. The bathroom had a urinal and earplugs. Nights were quiet, but it got loud outside during the day, so noise-sensitive guests may want the earplugs. The rooms were clean and nicely done, with a projector. Outside, there was a little garden with benches and a hanging chair. Two parking spaces, one for each room, were right by the entrance, along with umbrellas and mosquito repellent. The amenities were complete and good quality.
