A Fat At Home

The owners live on the third floor, and we had the only double room on the second, so we didn’t share a bathroom. Nearby parking was convenient, and the walk through the alley wasn’t far. I’d seen the photos before booking, and the place looked just like them. This was my first visit to Tainan, and I booked as soon as I saw Ah Fei’s place had rooms available. I messaged ahead about the autumn/winter subsidy. It was valid from December 31st and came off the original price, so it couldn’t be combined with the booking site’s discounted rates. Some dates weren’t eligible either, so it’s best to check in advance. I also asked about the house rules after seeing reviews mention them. They were about the cat and turning off the air conditioning when leaving, which seemed perfectly reasonable. Some of the cats are young and lively, so a cat toy might be useful. We let him into the room, as shown in picture 6 ❤️. There were bath and hand towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a shower cap, comb, razor, hairdryer, shower gel, and shampoo. The things in picture 5 were all usable, and the owners also left snacks, drinks, and bottled water. The landlady drew us a map and pointed out nearby food and things to do. She was really nice. The blankets felt a little small, and we only stayed one night 😭. We’ll come back for another holiday.

It’s a quiet, private place that takes one group at a time, and it was clean and comfortable. The guesthouse is close to the Confucius Temple. The owners were welcoming, and Ah Fei was adorable. Just watch the main door so stray cats don’t sneak inside when it opens.

The bathroom fixtures were all new, the room had no bad smell, and there were plenty of TV channels. The bagels were adorable! The hostess was so kind and thoughtful. On our last day, she let us leave our luggage there until shortly before we needed to catch our ride. I’d recommend staying here ❤️.

The landlady was lovely and told me about Tainan’s food and sights. I didn’t get to see Ah Fei, but the lively, cute Bagel made up for it. My room was tidy and clean, with drinks and cookies provided. There was also a notebook for guests to leave messages and memories.
