Atreeium

We loved our stay. The rooms are fantastic, and the beds felt just right, neither too firm nor too soft. The owners are the nicest little couple I’ve met, and they checked in with us on WhatsApp to see if we needed anything. It’s a modern, beautiful place in a charming, walkable part of Tainan, with shops and great food down the alley and plenty more nearby. Thanks for having us!

A cozy, stylish and comfortable place, and it was clean too. The Japanese wooden design is lovely, especially with that huge, three-story tree in the yard. The price is great for the location, close to the night market, food street, and bar street on Hai'an Road. I love this place and will stay again!

The rooms matched the photos and were in about 9.5/10 condition. Everything was clean, with hot water and good water pressure, and there’s even an elevator in this four-story lodging. We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint, peaceful place, and the staff were extremely friendly. The only drawback is that it’s about 30m from Guohua St, where cars can’t reach it. That keeps the noise down, but means you have to carry your luggage a little way.

The owners, a couple and their son, made me feel so cared for. I mentioned wanting to buy dried mango, which is a Tainan specialty in summer, and asked for recommendations. They had lovely ideas for gifts and local snacks, and later went out to buy fresh mangoes to share with me. In many Taiwanese and Asian families, sharing ripe, freshly cut fruit is a way of showing love and care. I was deeply touched. They reminded me of my own family, and I hope to return and visit them. I’m deeply grateful they shared their home with me. I'm very grateful!! The Atreeium (La Locanda) is a beautiful place in central Tainan. Its green atrium and nostalgic Taiwan feeling give the building a warm, open atmosphere. The artwork in the entrance foyer and metalwork have a Brooklyn feel to them, which stood out to me as someone from New York City. It’s tucked into a small neighborhood alley, so nights are quiet and peaceful. I stayed in a double deluxe room. It was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with Tainan-made washroom products. The bed was comfortable and clean, and there was fresh aircon, a full bathtub and shower, a washer dryer in the building, an elevator, free bikes, and help arranging discounted parking. My two-day visit to Tainan turned into three days. This city became one of my most memorable in Taiwan, and the stay was a big part of why I felt so welcome and relaxed. I was drawn to Tainan and grateful for the experience. 🧡
