City Place Hotel

The staff were lovely and helped fix my reservation after I got the date wrong. The room was fantastic, with comfortable beds and a bathroom that was well laid out and properly sealed off from the room. The lobby is classy and a nice place to wait. The hotel is central on a busy street, though our room faced away from it and we couldn't hear the traffic. The free rental bikes are tiny, so get a YouBike instead.

From the street, the place looked a little dodgy, but inside it's nicely renovated. The room was clean and comfortable, with the basic essentials covered. Staff are at the front desk 24 hours and the service was good. It's in Tainan City's old town, close to lots of attractions. There are bikes for rent too. For two people, it's not too expensive and offers great value. Highly recommended.

The central location is really good, and the staff were friendly. The rate can make it decent value if you find a good deal, though this wouldn't be my first hotel choice in Tainan. Cleanliness needs attention, especially the heavily stained hallway carpets. Sound carries badly too, and you can hear just about everything happening in other rooms.

We had a very comfortable four-night stay. Our room was spacious, with a double bed and a single, and everything was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable, and the WiFi was included and quite fast. Staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. Temples, restaurants, and department stores are all within walking distance, so it's a very good base in Tainan. I'd recommend it.
