Hale Crane Volcanic Mud Hot Spring Hotel

We thought this was the actual hot spring site, but it isn’t. Walk up the street and the hotels have nice baths and spas with hot springs, including mud springs. We went to hoya resort, where it was 450 per person to use the hot springs. A cap is required, and denise shop across the street sells them cheaper, 50 per cap.

The room smelled a bit like a basement and wasn’t in great condition, but it was okay. The pool was shallow, so I couldn’t really swim. Kings garden hotel does have a nice outdoor aqua spa at a good price, though, just 3$ to use the baths. The outdoor bath didn’t feel very natural.

The mountain views and trees make this a lovely area, with cafes to enjoy in the mild, cool weather. It’s considered a hill station in Tainan District. I’d go early and spend the whole morning and midday up there. The roads are neat, and riding a scooter around is fun.

The natural hot springs here leave your body feeling refreshed and are great for relaxing and calming your mind. It’s a beautiful place, and would make a perfect family holiday in tainan city.
