Hotel Initial-Beer

The location is good, but that's about the only plus. The room was small and cramped, and the place didn't seem very clean, judging by the dirty, shattered glasses. The balcony is odd, almost like they're going for a prison vibe. There's a bar, but it seems to open only during regular business hours, and I never saw anyone drinking there. At least the woman at the desk when I checked out was nice.

The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, and the service was smooth and kind. We also enjoyed the bar on the ground floor. A staff member explained the beer options and even helped us find a good KTV to spend time at, since a typhoon meant nothing was open. We'll definitely come back next time we're in Tainan :)

The beer bath was such a cool, relaxing treat. I spent an hour in the jacuzzi with liters of beer to drink, and there were literally dozens of bottles to choose from. The staff and service were great, and really helpful. Our modern room had a large, spacious bathroom and shower, plus a balcony with room for four. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Tainan!

The beer bath is in the basement, so remember to bring a swimsuit. We thought it was a private bath and didn't pack one, and no one reminded us either :( We found the room clean and comfortable, and the bathroom mirror connecting to your phone to play music was a fun touch. Soundproofing isn't great, so you can hear people walking past your door or going into their rooms, though it didn't bother us. Check-in was quick using a machine to verify your identity and charge a 200ntd deposit, which is returned at checkout. The staff were friendly and casual, and leave you alone if that's what you prefer. Great value in the heart of Tainan.
