The best part for me was the staff. The receptionists were incredibly helpful, friendly, and willing to answer questions or share local information. The location isn’t bad, with Shin Kong Mitsukoshi and its shopping and dining next door, plus public transport and cultural sites within reach. Still, actual sights aren’t especially close. Rooms are very small, and some guests find them dated, with basic, compact bathrooms. There’s no parking, which could matter if you’re driving. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with daily housekeeping and comfortable beds. San Juan Easy Stay Inn is a central, affordable option in Tainan, and I thought it offered good value.

We had the spacious family room with two king-size beds. The bed felt firm in a good way, the pillows were supportive, and the bathroom was clean. It’s good value and easy to get around from here, so I’d stay again and recommend it to friends. My only suggestions are a regular bathroom bin instead of the tip-over lid, which gets dirty easily and I took off before using, and some hooks for hanging towels.

For a budget-priced hotel, it has pretty much all the amenities you might need, including a free self-service washer and dryer. The location is great: Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, which our cab driver said was Taiwan’s biggest mall, is right next door, while Blueprint Creative Park is across the street. Bao'an road’s popular food street is about a five-minute walk away.

The road right beside the hotel brings some outside noise. On the plus side, the bed is comfortable and it’s convenient for Yongle Market and Shin Kong Mitskoshi.

There’s a large mall right next door, and it’s easy to get to nearby food shops from here. The room was an acceptable size, clean, and had the basic amenities.
