There are bike-sharing options nearby, which made getting around convenient, and the guesthouse is close to Anping’s busy area. Our room was tidy and clean, with no bad smells, and even though it was a holiday the other guests stayed quiet. Nobody greeted us when we arrived. The landlady contacted us through Line and showed us how to let ourselves in.

There were toys for the children in the lounge, and the guesthouse was clean and comfortable. They’d prepared an extra bed because they were concerned the kids might fall off the regular one. I also noticed two small pillows set against the wall to keep the children from bumping into it, such a thoughtful touch. 🤍 The double bed was comfortable enough for the adults to sleep well, and the bathroom’s warm air dryer was a great surprise. The only small downside was the wall-mounted hairdryer. Anyone with thick hair may need a while to dry it XD. Still, that didn’t change how much we enjoyed the stay. Great value for a guesthouse, highly recommended!

I booked a room through Booking.com and asked in the morning whether I could pay the difference. They said yes, then changed their answer to no in the afternoon. That kind of back-and-forth is stressful when you’re working. Why not just say no from the start? I could’ve asked someone to find another restaurant right away. ????

There’s no table or chair in the simple room, just a bed and bathroom, so it’s best suited to backpackers. The shared living room and kitchen downstairs let you cook for yourself. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t really want to get up the next morning. I’d stay here again if I got the chance.
