XiaoBei Home (Entire house for rent)

Kevin was quick to answer our questions in English and was easy to reach. We arrived before check-in, and he was flexible about letting us drop our bags. The room was already ready, which was a lovely surprise. It felt much more like coming home than staying in a hotel, with thoughtful touches like water, a welcome cake, aromatherapy shampoo, and bath salts. The location was fantastic too. We could walk to the busy Tainan Garden night market and jog to the river park and Anping Fort. Kevin also arranged breakfast for us at nearby Zaoka, a popular brunch place that often has an outdoor line. We really appreciated that. We loved this unique Tainan homestay and would definitely stay again.

The relaxed setting and music made for a refreshing start to our time in Tainan. You can see how much care has gone into decorating the homestay. Kevin and Xiao Bei were welcoming and hospitable.

The first-floor living room has a tatami spot where I could lie back and relax. It’s also just a short walk from Hai'an Road and Guohua Street, with a Japanese restaurant across the street that has no menu. The owner took good care of this lovely old house and gave us an introduction. They also included a traditional cake.
