Just average for the price. It was clean enough, though the decorations were dusty, and the bed felt a little hard.

Parking was convenient, but the room cleaning was a serious problem. There was a ridiculous amount of hair left by the previous guest, far more than a small oversight. The sheets felt soft and damp, had no sun-dried smell, and seemed like they hadn’t been changed. Maybe Tainan’s humidity was a factor. We told the owner, who came promptly and handled it efficiently, but said supplies were limited and they couldn’t replace the sheets. They refunded us and asked us to find another place.

We were a family of three adults and two kids in a room booked for four, so we called to ask about an extra bed. The woman who answered upgraded us to a six-person room on her own, which we really appreciated. It was clean, the water pressure was great, and there was plenty of parking. We’ll be back next time we’re in Tainan.

The keypad lock was pretty cool, and it was nice that someone cleaned and took out the trash while we were away during the day. But the cigarette smell hit hard as soon as I opened the room, a big downside. There are lots of stairs, narrow and steep, and the stairs start right at the entrance. Sound insulation is really poor, so I’d have to think about staying here again. It did feel a bit like visiting someone’s house, and some things were nice, but those issues stood out.
