Yes Yes I am Willing

The location was great, and the room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, with toiletries provided. Still, the service felt average, and the staff weren’t very helpful, welcoming, or kind. There was fungus on the bathroom wall, and the pillowcase and bedsheet were pilled. The setup also wasn’t friendly for non-locals, and there was no international adapter. At 1625 TWD a night, I didn’t feel it matched the high online rating or the cost. My Tainan trip would’ve been more pleasant in a friendlier, better place.

The staff were nice, and they helped receive and hold a parcel I ordered before I arrived. There are lots of food places around, very close to chikan tower, plus free-flow mineral water. My only gripe was the bedsheet, which had pilling and felt a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. Maybe it’s time for new sheets? :)

The room matched the pictures and was comfortable, neither too big nor too small. It’s in a quiet alley near Chihkan Tower, with plenty of good food nearby. The owners shared a map of places to eat, chatted with me whenever they saw me, and I ended up talking with them for ages every day when I got back. When I was sick, they kindly made me some really warm flower tea. You can catch a bus outside ChihkanTower to the city’s main sights. Tainan Train Station isn’t especially close, so take a bus or taxi if you have a big suitcase. It felt like home while travelling.
