Lan Ting Business Inn

The service was good, but there isn’t much around the hotel. It’s not especially close to the MRT, and the neighborhood feels quiet, with shops shutting early and few restaurants nearby. My twin room was small but quiet. The cooler was strong and blew straight onto the bed, and there was no shampoo.

I’ve stayed here three times now and would come back on my next visit. The location works really well for me, within walking distance of the train station, underground city mall, and ningxia night market. It’s a small, quiet hotel, just how I like it, and the staff were helpful and spoke English. The room was very clean, with soft, comfortable beds, pillows, and comforter. They replenished the toothbrushes, soaps, shampoos, gel, slippers, and other bathroom amenities every day, and left free bottled water too. There was hot water and a mini fridge. The only thing I noticed was that the shower head could use replacing: it worked, but water also ran down the nozzle.

There are plenty of eateries, convenience stores, and big malls right by the building, since the hotel is in the city centre. The price is reasonable and the breakfast buffet is good. The room felt small and old, though. If you mainly need somewhere to sleep while you spend your days out, Lan Ting is a decent enough option.

There are lots of food shops within a five-minute walk, including Ningxia Road night market. We got in on a late flight and checked in without trouble after midnight. There were three of us in one small room, which was fine since we only needed somewhere to sleep. The room was clean, and they made the bed and changed the towels daily. Breakfast was crab. The downsides were the single mirror in the bathroom, no shower curtain, and very thin walls.
