Palais de Chine Hotel

Alfo made a difficult moment feel easy. When we noticed a strong paint smell in our room, he promptly offered to move us, then arranged complimentary transport to the airport as an apology. We appreciated both gestures. The rest of the team was just as welcoming. Everyone we met was polite, smiling, and ready to help, and their warmth and professionalism made our stay memorable. It was thoughtful, attentive service, and we're grateful for the care we received.

Ms Nieh Ting made my seven-night stay especially enjoyable. She was attentive and professional, always smiling, and went out of her way to help with directions and recommendations. The concierge service was excellent. The room had plenty of space, though the lighting felt too dim. The hotel is about a three-minute walk from Taipei Main Station, next to Q Square, and convenient for getting around. The Express Train on the Purple Line took me 36 minutes from Taoyuan Airport to the station, with many sights easy to reach from there.

Breakfast had a wide selection, from Taiwanese specialties and four ice cream flavors to the usual Western pastries, cheese, eggs, and bacon. The food was really good, so make sure you get your money's worth lol. Our room was surprisingly roomy for two. There was space for at least three large suitcases opened on the floor, and the bathroom was spacious and comfortable too. The AI box controlled the lights and played music, and the design felt cozy. My only downside was the dim lobby and check-in area. The hotel is right at Taipei main station and linked to Q Square mall for shopping and dining.

Breakfast was a real pleasure, with a good mix of familiar Eastern and Western dishes, and the location worked well for us. The hotel is beautiful and has a classy feel. We had a standard double room. A few things made it less convenient: there weren't hooks for towels in the bathroom, nor much space to put our things. The mattresses were very soft, and the pillows weren't ideal.
