There was plenty of hot water and good shower pressure, but the bathroom had a lot of mold and needs a more thorough cleaning. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful.

It’s in a great spot, with lots of places reachable on foot. You can also get affordable meals downstairs.

For the price, this felt like an average stay, and three stars seems fair. I’d possibly come back when traveling alone because the location is handy and the price reasonable, though the tired decor gives me pause. I was only there one night and mainly wanted somewhere clean and quiet enough to rest. The room was clean, and small windows let in daylight, but the old carpet made it feel less appealing. The bed was comfortable, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I even walked to Xi Men Ding, which was convenient. The bathroom is raised about 1-1.5 feet above the room floor, with just one step up. It didn’t cause me a problem, but I wondered whether older guests might find it difficult. A slip could have serious consequences, so I was careful going in and out. Haha!

The location is decent, but the room quality was disgusting. There was rust and mold in the bathroom, the carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed, and the wallpaper was stained. Is this really supposed to be a three-star hotel? I can’t imagine how bad one- and two-star hotels in Taiwan must be.
