I really liked the boutique design, from the elevator lighting to the uniquely styled lounge on every floor. The hotel was quiet enough that I often felt like I had the whole floor to myself. My standard king room was cozy, with a bathtub and smart toilet, though it wasn't very spacious and had limited clothing storage. Snacks and soft drinks were replenished daily, which was a nice surprise. The 17th-floor breakfast buffet had a great city view and a good mix of traditional Taiwanese and continental food. On the second floor, the meeting area was a useful private place to host external guests, with free tea, coffee, and snacks. It's an easy walk to Ximending, and the metro station is about a pleasant 15-minute walk through the area. Getting to the hotel entrance can be awkward, though, and taxis or Uber often have to wait on the busy street outside. At check-in, the front desk team greeted me warmly, thanked me for being a Marriott member, and explained the policies, amenities, and member benefits in detail. Staff delivered my luggage to the room and personally showed me to the elevators. I highly recommend it for the service, design, and location.

The breakfast was a real highlight: you choose a main dish, like beef noodles or seafood congee, which changes daily, and there’s also a small buffet with snacks and drinks. The mains were very good, and the restaurant has a nice view from the upper floors. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the subway. The hotel can arrange a shuttle if you ask, but it takes about as long, so I didn’t use it. The neighborhood has a certain character 🤪, though Taipei is safe to stay in. You’ll see what I mean when you get there! 😁 The room was a little small, especially the bathroom. Staff were very nice.

The coffee and snack area on level 2 was a great perk for us. It was open from 10am to, I think, 9pm, with coffee for me, snacks for the kids, and a comfortable place to relax. The gym was small but had the basic equipment I needed to keep up with my routine. This was the final stop on our family trip around Taiwan, with four of us traveling from Taipei to Taichung and Kaohsiung before returning to Taipei. Suz & Catorze ended the trip on a high note. We’d happily stay here again, and hopefully for longer next time. Our room was modern, stylish, clean, and spacious, with a comfortable layout. The toilet and shower were separate, which made sharing the room easier. Water pressure was decent. It took us a few tries to get the hot water right, though that may have been our own learning curve. We had two bottles of water, two cans of soda, snacks, slippers, and basic disposable items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, a shaver, and a shower cap. We asked for extra towels before arriving because we didn’t want to be disturbed during our two-night stay, and the hotel had them ready before check-in. The staff were very friendly, even when we arrived around 11pm. They helped with our luggage and answered questions about the area. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Ximending, and we found the route easy and safe with the family. There’s a bike shop around the corner and a temple near the way to Ximending. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had in 2025, and one of the best for my family too. Thank you for a lovely last stop.

The location worked well for me, within walking distance of Ximending, and the room was fancier than the budget rooms around Taipei station. It had a larger bathroom too, though it was still small compared with the usual Marriott rooms in Taipei. Maybe a little bigger than places in the 2-3,000 NTD range. The road noise is definitely there. I could hear motorcycles and cars speeding past, and the blackout blinds didn’t do much about it. Thicker curtains might help. What really bothered me was finding an expired coffee bag in the room. Even if it was from Simple Kaffa, that’s not okay. Housekeeping needs to check more carefully.
