The rooms and corridors feel modern and comfortable, even though the lift lobby has the look of an older Taipei building. I booked a Superior Double Room as a solo traveler because it was the only one left. It was very spacious for me and could comfortably fit two people with two large suitcases. The cleaning aunties were friendly too. It’s right in the lively middle of XMD. To get to the lift lobby, look for TGI FRIDAY and the yellow Funny Ximen hotel signboard. Take the middle or rightmost lift to level 6 to check in. The rooms are on level 5. I stayed four nights and never had an uncomfortable incident at the lift lobby, even when coming back around 11pm or after midnight. The walls are thin, so I could hear people talking and walking in the corridor, along with some water pipes. It didn’t affect my sleep, though, so I’m not taking off a star.

The room was small, but worked for my wife and me during our week-long stay. My main complaint is that the sink is too small. The staff were helpful when I raised an issue with the HVAC and showed us how to manage it. The location is convenient, about a five-minute walk from Ximen MRT Station. There’s also a shuttle between the hotel and Taoyuan Airport. I don’t regret choosing this place.

We found the room comfortable and well soundproofed, and the hotel itself had a pleasant feel. The price seemed reasonable compared with nearby hotels, and the location was convenient. The front desk is staffed around the clock, which made us feel safe. SACHI was polite, greeted guests proactively, and was very friendly. It felt like five-star service.

Everything is walkable from this hotel in the center of Ximending. Taipei Main Station is about 20 minutes away on foot, which isn’t too bad. The service was 100%. Everyone was courteous and polite. I work in hospitality and have high standards, but this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. I’d check in again next time I’m back in TW.

Sachi at the front desk was so friendly and kind. There are sofas in the lobby where you can sit and chat, and complimentary self-service coffee is available 24 hours a day. The hallway has a high ceiling, bright lights, and hanging art. The room size was acceptable and the air conditioning worked well.
