The convenient location and affordable price are the hotel’s main advantages. But even taking the low cost into account, my stay was extremely disappointing. The building is old and poorly maintained, and my room was visibly dirty and dusty. The sheets clearly hadn’t been changed and still had hair from previous guests. Clean bedding should be basic at any price. Other guests made a lot of noise, which made it hard to rest. I know that isn’t directly the hotel’s fault, but it still affected my stay. The staff’s behavior was the worst part. They were extremely rude, unprofessional, and intimidating. When I arrived at 3:30 p.m., they said I could check in early only if I agreed to leave a five-star review. That makes me seriously question whether the hotel’s existing positive reviews are genuine. Cleanliness and service were unacceptable despite the price and great location. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The staff were very helpful, and there’s a water dispenser available. The room was soundproof, with a comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, and strong hot and cold water pressure. The air conditioning cooled it well, and they provided basic supplies, including large and small towels. It’s close to Taipei Main Station’s Exit Z2 and M6, which is a top-notch location. The only issue I noticed was some powder in the cabinet, so the room wasn’t quite as clean as I expected. Otherwise, everything was good, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel gave us what we needed in Taipei, and I’d recommend the area. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and it’s an easy walk to several lively streets. It’s on floors 7 and 8 of a 25-story building, tucked behind white pop-up tents selling things. Being beside Taipei main station makes it easy to catch buses and the metro all over. M4, M6, and M8 are the best exits. M4 and M6 have stairs, while M8 has an escalator. K11 and Z1 also work, but you have to cross the road. The hotel is a bit hard to spot. We had a window that faced air-conditioning units, but we could still get some fresh air. The shower was really good and in its own cubicle, not a wet-room setup. The bed and pillow were comfortable, and there was a kettle and mugs. The soundproofing wasn’t great, as others have mentioned, so I bring earplugs as a precaution. It’s a cheap hotel, so don’t expect five-star standards. The carpet was tired, and check-in wasn’t until after 4 p.m.

The room hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived. The staff seemed to change only the sheets and leave the rest alone. Floors, bathroom, and shower were filthy, with hair everywhere and visible buildup of dirt and water stains. This is the dirtiest hotel I’ve stayed in. I didn’t want to spend even one night there. Previous reviews have repeatedly mentioned cleanliness, but management seems to have done nothing about it.

For almost $70 a night on a weekend, you could get a much better room in other major Asian cities. The location is the only good thing. My room was dark and had no window, and there wasn’t even soap in the toilet. I found two empty cigarette packs under the sink, so it seemed the cleaners were rushing through lots of rooms. Check-in at 4 p.m. is very late, and everyone arrives then, so there’s a long queue. One female staff member tells every guest ten or more hotel rules while checking them in. It felt like being back in school. When I asked something, she said, “Let me finish then you can ask.” She was like my teacher back then. Maybe they have to go through the rules one by one because they deal with too many young Korean guests who make a mess.
