The location was good, and there were some nice extras, like free-flow tea eggs and snacks and a treadmill. Still, the downsides outweighed the good points, and I probably wouldn’t stay again. Street noise came through loudly because there’s no sound insulation. They provided earplugs, but they didn’t help much. The room felt dated and could use some work. It was damp, and the air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted. For the price, it might be fine for a night or two, but I wouldn’t stay longer.

If you’re paying under $NTD 1400 a night, you can skip this review. But at the December peak-season rate of $NTD 5000 per night, this hotel doesn’t justify the price. The room was old and dirty, and the shower curtain smelled like sweaty clothes. The bed was rock hard, almost like sleeping on the floor. At least the sheets and blankets were relatively clean. Between all the odd smells, including an overwhelming insecticide smell in the lobby, and the paper-thin walls, we couldn’t sleep. We could hear a couple chatting next door, a group shouting and laughing until 3am, and people upstairs showering or flushing the toilet during the night. Soundproofing basically doesn’t exist. We wanted to cancel after the first horrible night, but the hotel didn’t respond to messages through the booking sites. After three sleepless nights, I was glad to check out at 4am and move to another hotel. If your budget can stretch, there are better options.

We booked two nights after reading the many positive reviews, and left unable to understand how this hotel got such good ratings. The lobby smelled strongly of mold from the moment we walked in. For a place that’s supposedly accessible, it was a shock to find a simple glass room door that let every hallway sound through. The room was so worn down and unacceptable that we couldn’t stay in it. They offered us another room for an extra fee, which they said covered both nights, so we moved. The four-bed family room was in terrible condition too. All the furniture was damaged, scratched, or peeling, and the bathroom was full of mold. Every tile joint was dirty, cracked, or rotting. Hygiene standards seemed nonexistent. Soon after, an unfriendly receptionist called to say we’d have to move again the next day because they’d made a pricing mistake. We packed up and changed rooms again, only to find another one just as bad, musty, run-down, and extremely dirty. The whole place felt neglected, smelled moldy, and was far from clean. We absolutely can’t recommend it. It could also be a safety hazard, as the pictures show. And who knows what animals you might find in the bed. Luckily, we didn’t find any.

The room had plenty of space, and some of the furniture seemed new. The staff were friendly, too. But the floor was dirty, the shower door wouldn't shut all the way, and there was a lot of noise at night and early in the morning. I couldn't get a decent night's sleep, so I'm cutting my stay short and moving to another hotel. I won't return.

After three weeks staying around Japan and Seoul, this hotel was a real letdown. I had to switch rooms three times because of dust and a window looking straight into a family lounge in the neighboring apartment, just three metres away. The room shown in the booking photos was available, but they said I'd have to pay extra because it had been renovated. The carpet is old, and the bed is so hard it feels like sleeping on the floor. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
