The room and blankets both felt damp. I was also uneasy about the bathroom floor: there were no non-slip tiles or mat, which seemed dangerous. I wouldn’t suggest this place for a family with elderly members.

It’s close to the train station, with its own parking space and a bathroom that separates wet and dry areas. The decor feels warm, and the price is affordable. The place was comfortable, clean, and attractive, and the owner was helpful and attentive, answering our questions and suggesting places to eat and things to do in Taitung. It was a comfortable stay for the price.

The breakfast was as good as brunch out, and I’m still thinking about that thick peanut toast. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care the owner and hostess put into the homestay. The lawn and landscaping were lovely, and the shared living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms were spotless. The owner even kindly let us park our bicycles indoors. Coming back to the B&B after a tiring day felt comfortable and relaxing, like being at home. It was super clean, and the owner makes the rooms and bedding clean themselves. Even the duvet covers, sheets, and pillowcases didn’t smell of disinfectant. The freshly made breakfast each day shows how much care goes into hosting. This will be my first choice next time I’m in Taitung.
