Fun Trip - Little Castle & Oscar Guest House

There are two convenience stores next door, and getting around was easy enough even though the place is far from downtown, since there’s a bus stop a minute from the front door. Just keep an eye on the bus schedule. The train station is a ten-minute walk away. The room was clean, the lobby is self-service, and checkout is self-service too. Not much to complain about.

The common area worked really well for our homeschooled kids to do schoolwork before we went out exploring. It’s near the train station, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was comfortable.

The water in my shower kept changing temperature, then stopped altogether. The guesthouse said the motor was being repaired and asked me to wait half an hour. Still no water after that. My friend’s room worked fine when I checked, so only mine had no water. If that wasn’t targeting me, who’d believe it? The soundproofing is awful. We were told we were too loud while showering, and again for chatting in the room during the day. Is the guesthouse soundproofing faulty, or are we being singled out? The previous negative reviews also mention poor soundproofing. Has it been fixed? My friend ran into the guesthouse manager downstairs and was threatened with the police to get them removed. The guesthouse has poor soundproofing, and now you threaten to call the police because we’re talking in our room? Why not give us a full refund and tell us to find somewhere else?

A big balcony, handy for drying clothes while traveling around the island. There’s a 7-Eleven right next door too, which is really convenient.
