We had a pleasant stay, and the owner was quick to reply and did their best to work with our needs. They’d thoughtfully provided all the amenities we needed. The whole building worked well for our group, especially the big living room sofa, where everyone could chat and play. The rooms were very clean, and the bathroom was spacious. The place is peaceful and quiet, with lots of parking in the courtyard. It’s very spacious and has a karaoke room, so it works well for renting the entire building. 😀

There’s free parking, and the narrow road outside didn’t cause us any trouble while driving. Our room was spacious and had lots of outlets, three by each bed, which was handy with several of us sharing. I did spot hair on the bed as soon as we went in, so I’d suggest checking more carefully before the next guests arrive. We didn’t use the lounge, but the decor looked lovely. The karaoke room is only available when you rent the whole building, which was a bit disappointing. The owners have two very gentle dogs, so even I, despite being scared of dogs, felt comfortable around them. We didn’t bring a pet, but saw other guests with dogs, so it’s a pet-friendly guesthouse.

This was easily my most unpleasant stay. We arrived in a 9-seater car, and the owner kept commenting on how big it was, then told us to park in the open space across the street. Before we went upstairs, he asked how many were in our group. We explained that we had booked two 4-person rooms for eight people, 6 adults and 2 children, but had decided at the last minute to bring my grandmother too. The owner was upset and said we hadn’t been honest. We apologized and explained that one child was three, so there hadn’t been an extra charge. He then said he’d charge 500 yuan for the three-year-old, and before we could answer, said he wouldn’t have charged if we’d told him about the child. Why say that in front of the child? It felt discriminatory and unfriendly. I asked whether the website said children weren’t accepted, and he looked troubled. Boss, if you charge extra per person, just charge it. There’s no need for excuses. You said children were hard to control and might disturb other guests. The irony is that adults across the street kept us awake until 3 AM, while our child didn’t cry or make a fuss. They charged an extra 500 yuan and then forgot to provide the amenities. In the evening, we had to ask the housekeeper for them, and they still weren’t in the room. We ran into the owner then, and he asked why we were parked in the open space instead of inside their place. We reminded him that he’d told us to park across the street in the afternoon. After dinner, there were lots of cars parked in the open space in front of the guesthouse, so we were worried about causing an inconvenience and asked if we should move back. His wife said, ‘You’ve already charged 150 yuan for parking like this!!’ Ugh. After reading the other reviews, it seems the owner doesn’t take suggestions well and argues with guests. Honestly, this guesthouse owner was very unfriendly, especially toward children. He had no empathy. We paid him 500 NTD without even trying to bargain. You don’t need to speak to people like that, owner. You can see from the owner's reply that he had the same attitude that day. We really weren’t begging to stay there, and we hadn’t asked you to take us in. A four-person room costs 3800 NTD, and we booked two rooms for 7 adults and 2 children. You charged another 500 NTD for a three-year-old and didn’t even provide the amenities. If you spoke more politely, there’d be fewer negative reviews. You’re the one people will feel sorry for, owner!
