HOLIDAY MOOD KILLER the attitude was awful！！！！！！ I absolutely cannot recommend this place. I’ve never been treated like this before. We arrived with our dog, even though Booking.com had marked the place as pet-friendly, and within ten minutes the host just wanted us gone. There was no friendly welcome at all. He demanded an extra NTD$1,000 deposit that hadn’t been mentioned on the phone or through Booking.com, then told us to cancel the room instead of paying it. His attitude was extremely bad. After we argued, he kicked us out. When my husband went upstairs to get our luggage, the host treated him like a thief. Be careful, this host has several places in this section. HOLIDAY MOOD KILLER

The host has an extremely low EQ. There was no air conditioning in the common area, even in summer. They yelled at travelers? What kind of hostel is this?

The room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. The owner was very friendly when we checked out, though the helper came across as a bit rude during check-in. A few drawbacks: it’s far from the city center, the air conditioner is very noisy, and the balcony chairs were dusty. There’s no elevator, and the steep stairs make going up and down inconvenient. Pets are allowed, with a cleaning fee of 200 yuan per pet and a 1000 yuan deposit.

This has been my stop on all three of my cycling trips around the island. The price is reasonable, and it’s quiet at night. Thanks to the owner for making the arrangements. If I cycle around the island again and have time, I’ll stay here once more. Wishing the owner continued success.

I found this hotel by chance while looking for somewhere to stay before the Hualien-East 365 Cycling Festival the next day. It turned out to be a very good choice. The facilities were excellent, the bed was comfortable, the price was reasonable, and the location was excellent. The owner’s hospitality was hard to resist.
