The rooms felt cozy and were very clean. There's a hot pot place right next door, and they provide free cold water. The double room's bathtub was a little small.

There's a shared restaurant on the first floor where you can buy food to bring back to the guesthouse. Downtown Taitung is about a 10-minute drive away. The rooms are simply furnished but clean, and the kids can have a bath and play in the water. Highly recommend!

The poor soundproofing was another problem, but there were more serious issues during our stay. We checked into room 102, a four-person room, and the door was standing completely open. I had no idea why. Even with the shower set to its hottest, the water was only lukewarm. Since it was late, we didn't want to bother the owner, so all four of us took turns showering in cold water. Afterwards we were already freezing, and then found the hairdryer was broken. We called the owner in the middle of the night to ask for a working one. They said, "The owner is out of town in Taitung, please bear with it." One guest had long hair, but we were told to let it air dry. I was completely dumbfounded. Who'd be happy with this after paying to stay? We were told to endure it. I wouldn't want to return.

The guesthouse bicycles had faulty brakes, so they felt dangerous to ride. I also saw large cockroaches in the first-floor lounge. Inside the room, there was a musty smell as soon as I walked in, and black mold on the sheets. I couldn't sleep properly all night because of the smell. The soundproofing was awful too, I could hear noises from the second floor while I was on the third. The air conditioner remote was hard to use and its batteries were dead. The hot water was only lukewarm. I contacted the owner, who said on the phone they'd compensate us and ask us to pay extra, but they haven't replied since. The cleanliness needs work, and this service attitude means I won't stay here again.
