COZZI Blu

We’ve stayed at a Cozzi hotel three times in the past three years, and this one had the roomiest twin room compared with the hotels in Kaohshiung and Taipei. There were two king size beds, a three-seater couch, a chair and writing desk, plus plenty of space for our three large suitcases. The room was clean and had a good ambiance. There’s also a wall-mounted 65" HD TV with YouTube and a fairly good selection of in-house movies. The staff were friendly and caring, as we’ve come to expect from Cozzi. The location worked well for exploring. X Park is nearby, with an aquarium that teaches young and old visitors about fish and ocean life, including penguins. Right next door is the Landmark complex, with plenty of places to eat if you don’t want hotel food. Gloria Outlet Park is only 7 minutes away, with international and local brands for clothes, shoes, pots and pans, and more. The Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center by the lakeside is a 10-minute walk. After checkout, a helpful staff member called a taxi for us and our three heavily loaded suitcases. The ride to Taoyuan International Airport took 20 minutes and cost NT$350. We’d definitely consider staying here again on a future Taiwan trip to keep exploring Taiwanese food and culture.

We stayed one night as a family of four. The hotel is clean, with lovely modern luxe decor, and it’s very close to Gloria outlets for some luxury outlet shopping. The room Wi-Fi really needs improvement. We couldn’t get a steady connection, and the public Wi-Fi in the restaurant at breakfast worked better. Breakfast had a very good buffet and a large spread, but because we were there during a peak period, the serving time was limited compared with breakfasts at other hotels we stayed in. Staff were also quick to ask us to leave, even before the time was up.

The service made us feel welcome right from the concierge greeting us on the ground floor. Check-in was seamless, and our bags arrived in the room very soon afterward. The staff were fantastic and took care of our needs at all hours. Our room was large, clean, and had plenty of space, with the usual amenities. A sterilizer for baby bottles was a great extra. Breakfast was top-notch, with lots of options. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the international airports, connected to a shopping centre, and within walking distance of the outlet mall. One of my best hotel experiences in Taiwan. I’d recommend staying here.

It’s convenient for the HSR, especially if you arrive after 9 and before 9, since you can go through the marketplace and take the connected second-story walkway all the way there. You pass through the food court and mall, which is quite incredible. There’s a plentiful range of food in the mall, plus specialty shops like popmart if you’re into labubu. The hotel breakfast is pretty good and handy because the mall opens later. It’s not cheap, but the price reflects the convenience.
