Fu Li Teng International Hotel

The resident cats were the highlight of my trip! 🐾 They’re so friendly and clearly well cared for, and they bring a lot of character to the outdoor space. I had a wonderful stay at Freedom Hotel, and would recommend it to anyone after a warm, welcoming place with personality.

The laundry setup was my favourite part: there’s a free washer and dryer in the laundry room on every floor, which was so convenient. Breakfast was decent too. It was my first stay at this cute, unusual hotel. The lobby and rooms are roomy and relaxing, with a lovely atmosphere. Taimall is about a 10-minute walk away, though the route can feel pretty quiet. The fish outside the main entrance looked very hungry 🥺. I hope they’re being looked after 🥺

The staff speak English, which was much better than at quite a few 5 star hotels in Taiwan. Service was excellent and the WiFi worked everywhere. The facilities had everything I needed, and breakfast was good. It wasn’t especially delicious, but it was a nice way to start the day.

I spent two months here while relocating and got a lot of help from reception, especially since I only speak English. Everyone was kind and sweet. The little extras made everyday life easier: laundry on every floor, bikes you can borrow, and free snacks and drinks available 24/7. The massage chairs were great as well. The room worked really well for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable, the bath and shower setup was great, and breakfast had plenty of healthy options. Shanbi is the closest MRT station, and a cab there from the hotel costs around TWD135. This hotel exceeded my expectations, and I’d highly recommend it.
