Kiwi Share Hotel - Zhongli Station Branch - Hostel

Traveling solo here was a great experience. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful, and the huge, quiet lounge with coffee was fantastic.

The bathroom was clean and the bed in the four-bed women's dorm was really comfortable. Check-in wasn't until 5 pm, but I was able to rest in the lounge while I waited. I stayed one night.

Kiwi exceeded what I expected. The free breakfast had toast, four kinds of jam, a coffee machine, orange juice, and winter melon tea. During the cold snap, it meant we didn't have to go out for breakfast.

Our four-person bunk room was much roomier and cleaner than I expected, and the heavy door kept it quiet. Sheets, blankets, pillows, and cases were provided, all very clean, though we had to put the sheets and pillowcases on ourselves. The hostel has several floors of shared bunks and a few private bunk rooms for three or four people. There are plenty of places to eat and hang out, two PCs, board games, a Nintendo Switch we didn't try, and a large kitchen where breakfast is basic toast and spreads. The second-floor lobby seats could use more cleaning, especially under the armchair cushions, where we saw dirt and crumbs. Staff were helpful with our questions, and when we left, a staff member wearing glasses brought the kids a few little rice roll snacks. It was a good family stay, and we'd come back if we needed to.
