I stayed at 1790 Homestay in February 2025. The owner was very friendly, and this is a decent budget option in Toucheng. Cleanliness could be better, and there isn't much storage. It worked for me as a short stay of 1-2 nights with my own transport and a tight budget, as long as you can live with minor inconveniences. It might not be a good fit if dust is a deal-breaker, you're planning to stay longer than a weekend, or you rely on walking or public transport. My full review is in my YouTube Channel video diary!

The bed was wide and firm, which I personally found really comfortable. It was quiet, and I slept very well. Inside, the rooms were clean, though the outside looked old and dusty. You leave your shoes outside and slippers are provided for indoors. The place is near the museum, the seafood area, and the beach.

The owner was really friendly, and I might stay again if the price were a little lower. The room on the 4th floor felt cramped for four adults, though, and there was dust in a few spots. Maybe it costs less during the long holiday.

A handy base for exploring Toucheng. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the area feels safe. The train station, Lanyang Museum, and Wushi Port are all close, around a 10-20 minute walk or 5 minutes by bike.
