The setting was pleasant and peaceful, but the service left me disappointed. There’s a big patio out back and a small playground, though it’s oddly right beside a pond, so little kids need watching outside. They offer hot or cold water, plus bottled tea and alcohol for a fee. The room was spacious and looked tidy at first, but it was missing toiletries, the blankets were laid sideways, and the inner blanket was badly stained with black and red marks. By morning, the room had flies, spiders, and mosquitoes, even though I hadn’t opened the back door or window. The owner had assured us the building had just been deep-cleaned and that there were no bugs anywhere, despite the fields all around. When we reported the pests, we were told it was impossible and that we must have brought them in. Staff even joked that it was nice to have customers clean for them. There’s a 7-11 and a few restaurants within walking distance, but reliable transport is useful, and delivery may be a better option without it. Nearby, you can view the ocean or a lake, visit the Traditional Arts Center, and go cycling. It’s a comfortable location for relaxing with friends or family, but the owner and staff made the stay unpleasant.
