The housekeeper patiently walked us through everything, and even switched on the air conditioning before we got to the room, which was a thoughtful touch. The rooms and surroundings were very clean. They were set up well for families, with a slide and play area, plus karaoke and an electric mahjong table. The soundproofing was excellent, so noise from neighboring buildings didn't bother us.

The setting is a little out of the way, but the whole-building rental is fairly priced at 18,000 NTD a night for one group per day. The four buildings are rented together even though each belongs to a different owner, and Jinhe is only one of them. There are five rooms in total: one double on the first floor, two quadruples on the second, and two doubles on the third. One quadruple has a slide, while the other has a play kitchen and rocking horse, so it's somewhat family-friendly. Karaoke and electric mahjong tables are provided. The courtyard works for barbecues, though the buildings are close together, making it crowded if everyone grills there, and smoke spreads around. Better not to park in the courtyard. Parking is limited, maybe around five cars if packed in close. The overall place is okay, and the price is reasonable, but the soundproofing isn't great. They don't provide disposable toiletries or bath towels, so bring your own. Also, the toilet paper holder is sideways and the paper falls onto the floor when you pull it.

The sound carries badly, the bathroom has uneven temperatures, and there are long cracks along the bathtub wall. I also found small spiders in the toilet. For what it costs, it doesn't feel worthwhile, and I wouldn't recommend bringing friends.

We ended up extending our stay by two days, and the barbecue on the second day was excellent. The owner was so nice, and the room was comfortable, with karaoke and an electric mahjong table. We were even taken out for a delicious dinner. A fantastic stay and highly recommended, though the bar on the third floor isn't very practical.

A 5-star review can get you a discount. The place is great for a group of friends, though it's quite remote, so getting a taxi may be difficult. Delivery is available. We couldn't use the open-air stargazing area, which was a shame, and there was some toothpaste left in the cup by the previous guest. The third-floor bathroom with the bathtub gets a bit hot, but soaking there feels really nice. They'll remind you to check out at 10:55 PM, so keep an eye on the time.
