The quiet scenery after the ferries have gone is the memory I’ll take from Lojuseaview home stay. If you get the chance to spend even one night on the island, it’s worth experiencing that landscape with hardly anyone around. There’s a laid-back feel throughout the property, and the decor made me wish I’d had more time there. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. Just outside them, a big shared area has complimentary water, snacks, and coffee. The place is a couple of minutes from the main town and ferry harbor by scooter or bike. You’ll need transport while on the island anyway, though walking should take only 15-20 minutes. Breakfast is either a small selection delivered to the common area at 8:30am or a voucher for a local takeaway about five minutes away by bike. There’s no written menu there, so you’ll need some Chinese or try Google Translate. The rooms were clean, though this is a tropical area, so insects, especially ants, can show up inside. Keep food in the fridge. The owner was pleasant to deal with and kindly answered our questions about snorkeling gear, souvenirs, food, and other places to go. Check-in hours were quite limited during my stay, from 15 to 18 hours, and we had to wait up to 10 minutes when the owner was collecting guests or looking after the property. That seemed reasonable for a small, carefully managed place, but plan around the hours.

Seeing the sunrise from our room was the highlight. We had a great stay, and the gentleman who met us at the port was really nice and shared local tips. Renting a scooter right there was very convenient. Can’t wait to come back, thanks for such a great experience :)
The kids loved the play area in the lobby, which also had coffee, water, ice, and snacks. The pool worked really well for younger children, and our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Staff helped with rentals and gave us ideas for activities, sights, and places to eat. Breakfast was served off-site, but we often brought it back to eat in the lobby.
Family rooms have a balcony and some view of the sea, and the room size is reasonable. The location is alright, though getting here takes transport. It’s a 20 min walk from the harbour, which is no fun with luggage. Service is pretty hands-off, so you’ll need to go to the lobby counter if you have a question.
The reception staff felt transactional and weren’t very approachable. At checkout, one of them transferred our luggage to the harbour but broke its pull handle and didn’t apologize. I won’t be coming back. Getting there was fairly hassle free for us: without a pickup arranged in advance, you need to rent bikes at the harbour and have the shop move your bags. The rooms were spacious and clean, with decent amenities. From the balcony you’ll probably see the aquarium’s green roof next door. Along with the blue and white paint and piped music, it gave the place an ironic Wes Anderson look. There’s only a little at reception to drink, water, ice, and coffee, though the coffee is pretty good. Breakfast is NT50 vouchers per person for a Taiwanese takeaway about 1.5km away. There’s no seating, so you need a bike to pick it up. Rain made the trip an ordeal for us on both days. You can book things like snorkeling, SUP, and night walks at the counter. Bring enough cash, since everything needs to be paid for in cash.
