A quiet, beautiful b&b with friendly staff and a comfy bed. It’s a five-minute ride from the pier by bike or scooter. The bathroom has a big tub and a large window looking out on a lovely, secluded view of nature. I missed breakfast, sadly, but would stay again.

The room was huge, and we really liked having a bathtub. The bed, though, was very firm. I’d pass on the hotel breakfast and grab taiyaki at Fulu Shouxi Taiyaki - Xiaoliuqiu Branch or coffee from nearby M Cafe.

The owners made us feel at home. They were so friendly, pointed out things to do and places to go, served a great breakfast, and even helped us reserve seats for surface diving. The place has the look of a grand villa in Southern France, with quiet public areas to relax in. It can be a little hard to find, but I’d recommend staying here for the hospitality. I’m from Hong Kong and wasn’t sure whether the owners spoke English, but I’d still suggest giving it a try. People on the island mostly speak Taiwanese, so a translation app or a local friend can help. After 2pm and 730pm, most restaurants close, leaving 7-11 as the last option. Owners, thank you for being so warm and thoughtful!

We got lost, and the staff came to pick us up and connected us with a local electric bike rental shop. They were amazing. If you need English, ask for Nik, the owner. He’s really helpful, and the breakfast was great, with a vegetarian option too.

Eric made our stay at Outline much nicer. He was friendly and helpful, shared lots of travel tips, and gave us his own suggestions for food and things to do.
