The rates are very affordable for backpackers, and the room was clean, organized, and had lots of amenities. It was well worth the money. I highly recommend the place and can’t wait to come back.

The indigenous performances in Hualien were lively and really engaging, with fun chances for kids to join in. Rooms were simple but did the job. Greatly recommended!

We had a dorm for eight for two nights, and the bunk space was pretty decent. The sheets, pillow, and blanket were clean and seemed to be nice cotton and linen. There was a pleasant washing-powder smell, I think. The common area was roomy enough for working and cooking, and the staff were super nice and helpful. Parking is free too. I’d definitely stay here again if I go back to Taroko.

Check-in and checkout are handled at kiosks, which worked pretty well. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and there’s a shared kitchen and lounge where guests can cook, eat, and socialize. The hotel is modern and very clean, and the price feels worthwhile if you’re okay with fewer services. You might even prefer not having much interaction with staff.
