The hotel’s changing exterior lights are a quirky, fun touch. I booked a corner family room for extra space, but much of it felt wasted and the room was very bare. The water theme in the common areas is intriguing, though a bit ugly. Breakfast was a letdown.

The room was spacious, and I appreciated that they changed the sheets every day, but the hotel feels dated. Breakfast was underwhelming, with the same items each day. We found mold on one of the small jelly cups served at breakfast and showed it to reception. That’s not acceptable for food and beverage service. The room phone was out of order and made a piercing sound twice in the middle of the night, waking us. Soundproofing was poor too. Early in the morning, people outside were talking loudly and woke us again.

You can explore Yilan city easily from here, with the night market right behind the hotel. The rooms are spacious and great for the price, and there’s even a movie theater in the building. It’s convenient, comfortable, and cheap, and the staff are welcoming and nice. Highly recommend.

The best part is the location, next to a night market and near the train station. The hotel itself is decent but nothing special. My room was clean and the bed comfortable, but the WiFi was almost unusable. The breakfast buffet was just OK.
