The room was in bad shape: old, damp, smelly, and not clean-looking. There was mould in the bathroom, the TV only showed static, hot water took more than five minutes of running the tap to come through, and the bathroom flooded when we showered. The bed was rock hard and lumpy, with springs poking out. The only good part was the breakfast buffet at a neighbouring hotel. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.

The WiFi was the worst part. There was access to the network, but no internet at all, which made for a really boring night. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, even on a tight budget. The room was small, and although the toilet was large, it was very rundown. Its door was see-through enough to feel uncomfortable. The whole hotel seemed pretty run down.

The hotel is close to Sun Moon Lake, with nearby restaurants that are easy to reach. The surroundings are tidy and peaceful, and there’s a parking area nearby. There isn’t a scenic view since the hotel is on a street, and the air conditioning was a little loud.

The room was very basic for a family, and the towels, sheets, and pillow covers all seemed old. We found someone else’s hair on both a pillowcase and a bedsheet, and there were food crumbs on one of the beds. Breakfast was included at their other hotel. That one seemed newer and better quality.

A simple, clean place for a short stay by the lake, and good value for the money. It’s near lots of restaurants and the pier. Reception is on the third floor, while our room was on the second, so there wasn’t much of a view. Breakfast is served at another hotel across the road and farther down.
