It's a good wannabe, though definitely not a five-star hotel. It's quiet and clean, has the basics, and the room, service, and location are good for the price. Breakfast comes with the stay and has a fresh, varied selection. Personal hygiene items have been removed under environmental regulations. I'd suggest adding EV charging ports for convenience and to appeal to a wider range of customers.

The food was traditional and delicious, bringing back memories of old times. The buildings are old, but the place and room were clean and comfortable. Service was available, and the hospitality was good.

For a simple, budget stay at Sun Moon Lake, this is a good option. We had a clean four-bed room in a great location. The place is quite dated, and breakfast wasn't much to look forward to, but it works if all you need is somewhere basic.

I only stopped in for lunch and didn't stay overnight. The food was okay and portions were good, and the staff were pleasant and attentive. Coffee isn't their strong point, so I wouldn't recommend it. The outdoor seating is very relaxing, right in the forest. I may come back.

There's no lake view, but the room was clean and the hostel is mid-range. Its main building and bungalows are scattered through the forest. A bus stop is right outside, and the gondola station is very close.
