Getting around was convenient, and Joyce was always happy to help. She's an amazing host and person. My family and I had such a great time here, from arrival through departure, thanks to the genuinely kind owners. The rooms were clean, the bath was soooo relaxing, and breakfast was delicious, nourishing, and healthy. We loved our stay at Yuan Ju and can't recommend it enough. Highly, highly recommended!

The Mount Maolan trail to the SML weather station, near the Yu Huan hotel, was one of our highlights. We'd suggest doing it before it gets too hot. It's a fairly steep climb, but the views are well worth it. Two girlfriends and I stayed here for two nights while exploring Sun Moon Lake. The room was clean and fairly basic, but the family running the guesthouse is what makes it a comfortable base for a few days. The owner helped us throughout our visit and was thoughtful, with useful advice on getting around by bus, boat, and bike. Breakfast was delicious, with a balanced Taiwanese selection, and you could take it away or eat in their little lobby. It was just right before a day of cycling or walking around the lake.

The room was clean and well equipped, with fast Wi-Fi and excellent air conditioning. The huge bathtub was an extra special treat. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the location was good. The bento-style breakfast was both delicious and filling. I'd recommend it to friends and stay again if I return to Sun Moon Lake.

A short walk gets you into town for food, supplies, and lake views, and the bus station is close by. The hosts were very friendly, helpful, and chatty. The premises were immaculately kept, and I'd have no hesitation coming back. Thank you very much. 🌄

A great option for bicycle travelers: there's indoor space for storing your bike, and the staff are extremely helpful. The room and breakfast were both excellent. I'll definitely stay here again.
