We stayed on the third floor in a four-person Japanese-style room on September 27, 2024, with our young baby. We had spent ages comparing places and worrying we'd end up disappointed, but this stay turned out really well, so I wanted to share our experience. We paid under 6,000 NTD for two nights. As keen campers, we usually hesitate to spend 5,000-6,000 NTD a night on family rooms, even at mid-range hotels, so this felt reasonable. We had three children under six; check the price for your own group with the owner, since this is only a reference. We contacted them through their official Line account after switching from Booking.com. The owner was friendly, answered all our questions, and gave local food suggestions when I asked. Being able to reach someone easily matters to us. The room was fresh and very clean, with no musty or smoky smell. We pushed two beds together, then found no dust, hair, or other debris under them. Even the decorations that looked tricky to clean were spotless. They put the beds back when we checked out. This is just our honest account. Nobody offered us a discount, prize, or gift for a five-star review. It was our wedding anniversary trip, we had a lovely time, and the good rating is simply how we felt. Good guesthouses deserve support, and guests should be thoughtful too.

We booked two rooms for September 2, and both were roomy, clean, and well equipped. The guesthouse has a warm, comfortable feel, and the quiet nights made it easy to sleep. It's a little way from the city center, but I'd happily stay here again. The owners were kind and polite. In the morning, the owner had made us a delicious breakfast and brewed us lovely coffee. It was a great part of the trip, and for me this place gets a full 100. 👍

The rooms were a lovely surprise, each with its own style, and all clean and comfortable. The prices were very reasonable, too. The owner was welcoming and helpful, and explained how check-in would work ahead of time. Set in the peaceful countryside of Zhuangwei, the place felt relaxing, especially with the cool weather and light rain during my visit. You can see the owner's care in the decor. I'd bring friends to [Happy Blue Star] next time I'm nearby.

The place has a lobby and parking, which may work better if you rent the whole building. There's some outdoor decoration, but farmland is pretty much all around, so don't expect much of a view. The room felt a little dated and noise came through. I couldn't get the air conditioning comfortable, it stayed freezing no matter how I adjusted it, and the hot water was inconsistent and seemed to only get hotter. Breakfast wasn't ready until 9, though I heard other guests say they got theirs around 8:30. It's best not to arrive with big expectations, so you won't be disappointed.
