The welcome from the staff was genuinely friendly. The rooms can feel very cold even though there’s no air conditioning, so some improvement for comfort would help. Still, it’s a straightforward, affordable place in Arusha that I’d recommend.

We got a clean, comfortable suite with the basics we needed, and both dinner and breakfast were good, with Western choices plus some local food. Staff were polite, check-in was easy, and upkeep seemed pretty good. Our first night in Arusha was a pleasant, restful one before the safari started after breakfast. The lodge sits outside town, reached by a bumpy uphill drive, so it felt secluded and fairly quiet. We were on the first floor and had to carry our bags up the stairs.
