Venus Premier Hotel

At check-in, the receptionist said breakfast ran from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. But when I asked at 10:20, I was told it ended at 10:00 and wasn’t available anymore. I asked for just one vegetarian sandwich, and they wanted to charge extra for it. The hotel felt unprofessional, like it was always trying to get more money from guests. It seemed they were doing this to save on breakfast costs.

The food was the worst part of our stay. Restaurant meals and packed food were both poorly prepared, unhygienic, and lacking in taste and presentation. There was little sense of service or care for guests. The location also caused problems: the hotel is down a narrow lane with no parking, and even a bus can’t reach the entrance. Our room was just manageable, the toilets were in poor condition, and hot water wasn’t reliable. This was a very disappointing stay at Venus Hotel in Arusha, and I wouldn’t return.

I’d stayed at the hotel the month before, and when my brother and sister arrived from India with their families, their Airbnb booking wasn’t to their liking. I asked Mr. Satish to help arrange rooms for them at Venus Hotel, where I was staying. In just 15 minutes, he and his staff had prepared two double rooms, with connecting rooms for the kids. My family was overwhelmed by the welcome and the arrangements. The staff were all so hospitable. Thank you again, especially to Mr. Satish.

The room was clean and nice, and I really liked the shower, which had strong water pressure. It’s a big, beautiful hotel in central Arusha, close to restaurants, banks, gift shops, and a local market. The staff were helpful and professional. The WiFi didn’t work, and the croissant was stale while the Indian pastries were sour.
