We couldn’t fly because of some problems, so we chose this airport hotel. Hamid helped us get to the market and assisted us the whole way. He was there whenever we needed help. His kindness made this a five-star stay for me.

It’s quiet and secure, in a secure area, and the large rooms and homey atmosphere make it livable for a quiet getaway or a work trip. The staff are charming and helpful, despite a few irregularities. Just be sure to confirm what you need when booking, since the listing was posted as an AirBnB. It’s a small hotel in an old house that’s been converted from a residence, so some things you expect from a hotel may be missing.

We only had half a day here because of our flight schedule, and I wish we’d been able to stay longer. The staff, especially Amir, were so helpful and made my wife and me feel at home. The Zanzibarian hospitality stayed with us for days. It’s an authentic villa with separate rooms, bathrooms, and ceiling fans. Our small room still felt spacious, and it was clean, with comfortable beds and the best WiFi I’ve had in a long time. Airport transfers take about five minutes. Walking is possible in daytime, but the roads have no pavement, so I wouldn’t recommend it. We chose Sulkhan because of the airport location and its high rating on booking, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. Don’t expect a Four Seasons facility, but the hospitality is five-star and the place is very good and authentic. Asante Sana Amir!

A little far from Stone Town, but it was quiet and comfortable. The price was right, and the owner and staff were friendly and polite.
