The rooms are usually booked up, so I'd recommend reserving ahead to avoid missing out. Mazola Diamond Hotel is clean and peaceful, and the rooms are comfortable and well kept. The staff are welcoming and professional. I've had a top-tier stay here, easily one of my favorite places to stay.

Getting to the hotel was difficult because the area was so busy, and the noise continued through the night. I barely slept. The room was somewhat comfortable, with a hot shower and working air conditioning, but the floors, linens, and surfaces were dirty. The Wi-Fi was patchy.

For the places I've visited in Dar es Salaam, this has been my best TV experience so far. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is good, and the price feels worth it. It's a place to be in Dar right now.

I wouldn't go back, even without luggage. The suite was noisy and expensive, and service was extremely slow. Staff barely understood English. The hotel sits in the middle of Kariokoo market, a terrible spot, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. it's impossible to reach by car. Sometimes even motorbikes can't get through, so keep that in mind if you're carrying bags. The location really undermines its professionalism.
