Breakfast was a highlight during my stay at Upperhill Place, and they served it whenever I wanted, even very early before a trip. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and helped with anything I needed. Their warmth made me feel like family. I stayed for over two weeks in Mbezi Beach, where the quiet setting away from noisy roads made for restful nights. The exterior looked a little shabby when I arrived, but inside was impeccably clean and well maintained, with spacious rooms. The deluxe rooms even have a kitchenette for cooking. I’m used to luxury hotels, but Upperhill Place has a homey atmosphere and personal touch that I really enjoyed. It’s a good choice for comfort, cleanliness, and friendly service away from the bustle of more commercial places. I highly recommend it.

The staff were helpful and communicated well, and the large room was comfortable and in good shape. This hotel on a hill off Mwai Kibaki Road is a lovely hidden gem, though it can be tricky to find. The grounds and wall around the property could use some fixing up.
