There’s plenty of greenery around a small pond, and the location works well. The restaurant serves tasty Indian food. Rooms are clean, though they feel old.

The staff were welcoming and professional, and the Indian and Chinese food was especially good. It’s the oldest hotel in Dodoma, and I’d strongly recommend it.

Breakfast was okay, with coffee, eggs, an omelette, and fruit. The room cost was confusing: I paid in cash, then was asked for more money later. The toilet seat was broken. It wasn’t a bad stay, but it wasn’t great either.

You can look out onto a garden inside the hotel, which was the best part for me. This is Dodoma’s oldest hotel and has become a historic place, but it really needs proper renovation. The heater only produced hot water.

Despite having “New” in its name, the hotel still shows its 120 years of hospitality.
