The rooms were pristine, and the food was some of the best I ate during my two-month trip away from home. Most of it was grown on the farm, and they catered to our vegetarian diet. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and we especially enjoyed walking around the property. We stayed for two nights and loved the experience so much that we've already recommended it to family for their safari.

We came after a safari at serengeti, with dusty bags, and they cleaned our bags for us. I'd never experienced that before. We were a group of 19 friends and were amazed to find this place run by religious nuns. The rooms were cleaner and neater than any 3 star hotel, the food was very good, and the organic vegetables came from their backyard. Their hospitality was beyond anywhere commercial I've stayed. We loved it and highly recommend it.

We went in a rental car that wasn't allowed to go to Ngorongo, so we arranged our safari to Ngorongoro through the lodge. Their driver was knowledgeable and friendly. The staff were super friendly, the food was delicious at dinner as well as breakfast, and they offered complimentary coffee and tea. We had such a good stay that it exceeded our expectations. Great value for the price, and I'd definitely stay again and recommend the place.

The garden has room for kids to play, and the rooms are simple but have what you need. The food was delicious, and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. Fantastic place.

A wonderfully peaceful place to recharge, and the dinner alone made the room rate worthwhile. Cook Paolo is brilliant in the kitchen, with experience at upmarket resorts and a real command of many European cuisines. He works with excellent ingredients, including homegrown produce, fresh milk, eggs, and meat from the farm attached to the monastery. The sisters' hospitality was unbeatable, and I was impressed by their vegetable and fruit garden. The location near Ngorongoro and the very competitive rates are obvious advantages too. The rooms are basic but spotless, and everything is well organized. Loved it. Asante sana!
