The rooms were nice, but I didn't feel comfortable with the atmosphere from the employees and the owners, who seemed to be involved in running the hotel. I wondered if staff might be paid less than at other hotels, but I can't know for sure. The food wasn't very good either, and for what I paid, I don't think the stay was worth it. There are probably better options nearby, and I should have researched more before booking. I stayed one night while heading to Serengeti and had planned to return for another night, but decided to cancel and book somewhere else.

Sarah, our waitress, took wonderful care of us. The table was beautifully set and decorated for our honeymoon, and the meals were delicious, with lots of options. We were welcomed with a hot towel and drinks, given a briefing, then quickly shown to our cottage. It was modern, clean, and luxurious, with a big bathroom and double shower. We were very comfortable and slept extremely well. The Retreat at Ngorongoro is beautiful, with well-kept outdoor areas and lots of plants growing. We didn't get to use the pool, but the pool area looked stunning. A real treat before or after safari, and we'd highly recommend it. We only had one night and wished we'd stayed longer. Asante sana.

We had three lovely, spacious villas, all with the amenities, comfortable beds, and well-equipped bathrooms. The grounds were gorgeous, full of different flowers and plants. In the dining room, we enjoyed delicious buffets with plenty of choices, plus a pasta and omelette station run by Onesto. Judith, the dining room manager, always greeted us and checked whether we needed anything. What a beautiful resort in paradise. We wish we'd stayed more than one night. Add extra nights when you book!

We had a great stay here on our honeymoon. The location works well for Ngorogoro crater, tangerie national park and lake manyara national park, and the staff were so friendly. The property was beautiful, and our room felt like a whole house, spacious, clean, and really cozy. The restaurant food was great, and we also had massages at the spa that were so, so good. I'd highly recommend it!

As soon as my group of women walked in, I could tell we were going to have a great stay. They welcomed us with a choice of refreshing hibiscus or lemongrass drinks, and all the staff were so warm and friendly. The rooms were gorgeous, the whole property was stunning, and the food was delicious and plentiful. It's also conveniently located for the crater and other game parks. I can't say enough good things about this amazing hotel. Highly recommend.
